Puhdistusbalmi on ihonhoitorutiinin 1. vaihe mm. vedenkestävän meikin, aurinkovoiteen ja lian puhdistukseen: Hiero noin kolikon kokoinen nokare balmia kuiville kasvoille pyörivin liikkein, jonka jälkeen kostuta kädet ja hiero kasvoja uudestaan emulgoidaksesi puhdistusbalmin. Huuhtele pois lämpimällä vedellä ja jatka 2. vaiheen puhdistuksella (esim. puhdistusgeeli tai -vaahto)
