Isntree Chestnut AHA 8% Clear Essence is a gentle chemically exfoliating essence for all skin types, especially for dry and tired skin that needs effective exfoliation without fear of skin irritation.

The essence contains glycolic acid (4%) that exfoliates dead skin cells, moisturizing lactic acid (4%), as well as nutritional and pore-cleansing tannin extracted from chestnut. Together, the ingredients help balance the skin's oil-water balance, and promote a smoother and brighter skin texture.

The essence is enriched with soothing and antioxidant-rich ingredients, such as Centella Asiatica extract, tiger grass, panthenol and allantoin, as well as deeply moisturizing hyaluronic acid.

Fragrance-free, alcohol-free and skin irritation tested, the water-based essence has a low pH value (3.5~4.0) and is also suitable for exfoliating sensitive skin ♡

NOTE! Since the product is a chemical peel, it is recommended to use a sunscreen on top of the essence during the daytime.

Apply 2-3 drops of the essence to the face after cleansing and toner, avoiding the eye and mouth area.

Essence is applied after toner and before serums, ampoules or moisturizer. Essences are usually more runny than serums or ampoules in consistency, and the active ingredient concentrations are not as high. Essences contain more moisturizing and nourishing ingredients than toners. Pat the product onto the face with your hands. Always patch test new products to ensure they suit your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin. Apply a small amount to an area like the neck and wait 24–48 hours to check for any reactions.

If skin irritation, such as redness, swelling or itching occurs after use or exposure to sunlight, stop use of the product and consult a doctor if necessary. Do not use for broken skin. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with eyes and rinse with water if the product gets into the eyes.

Centella's antioxidants calm the irritated by relieving inflammation and reducing redness. It also improves and regenerates the skin and supports collagen production. In addition, centella brightens and evens out the skin tone, helps the skin retain moisture and reduces the visibility of scars.

Centella can have many different names depending on which part of the plant has been used, or what kind of extracts and oils have been made from it; eg Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract and Centella Asiatica Root Extract. In many cultures, including Korea, centella is also known as Tiger grass or Tiger herb. The name comes from the legend that wounded tigers would seek out wild centella and rub themselves on the plant's leaves to heal.
